The Story of DiPietro's

Established in March 1982 in Brantford, Ontario, DiPietro Food Centre embarked on a journey of expansion, ultimately relocating to Cambridge.

Boasting an impressive 16,000 square feet, DiPietro’s is renowned for a multitude of specialties.

While our reputation was built on quality and our impressive 84-foot meat counter, our commitment to freshness has propelled us into the realms of fresh produce, deli offerings, and homemade baked goods.

At DiPietro, we exclusively cut Canada grade ‘A,’ ‘AA,’ or ‘AAA’ hanging beef, meticulously hand-selected and aged for optimal tenderness and flavor. Our pork originates from Ontario select pork, delivered fresh daily. Notably, our renowned DiPietro sausage, crafted from an authentic, time-tested family recipe, is prepared on-site daily with no added fillers or preservatives, using fresh Ontario select pork.

Our extensive range includes freshly delivered chicken and turkey, providing customers with a daily selection. All our beef, pork, chicken, and smoked specialties are artfully displayed, not packaged, allowing customers to personally choose and have their selections wrapped by our counter staff in the traditional manner.

Devices to Assist You

We will guarantee that our team undergoes training to become acquainted with a variety of assistive devices utilized by customers with disabilities when accessing our products or services.

Our Communication

We will engage with individuals with disabilities in a manner that considers their specific disability.

Service Animals

We embrace individuals with disabilities and their service animals. Service animals are permitted in areas of our premises that are accessible to the public.

Individuals With Support Persons

An individual with a disability accompanied by a support person will be permitted to have that individual accompany them on our premises.

Temporary Disruption Notice

In case of a scheduled or unforeseen interruption to services or facilities for customers with disabilities, DiPietro Food Centre will promptly inform customers.

A clearly visible notice will provide details about the cause, expected duration of the disruption, and information on any alternative facilities or services if accessible. The notice will be prominently displayed at the front entrance.

Training

DiPietro Food Centre is committed to offering training to all employees, volunteers, and individuals interacting with the public or third parties on our behalf. Training will be promptly provided to existing staff and upon the hiring of new personnel.

Our Training Will Include:
  • An overview of the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act, 2005, and the stipulations of the customer service standard.
  • DiPietro Food Centre’s strategy concerning the customer service standard.
  • Guidelines on interacting and communicating with individuals with various types of disabilities.
  • Guidance on engaging with individuals with disabilities who use an assistive device or require the assistance of a service animal or support person.
  • Protocols to follow if a person with a disability encounters difficulties in accessing goods and services at DiPietro Food Centre.

Staff will undergo additional training whenever modifications are implemented to our plan.
